“On 8 January 2020, Flight PS752 was tragically shot down with two missiles only three minutes after takeoff from Tehran’s IKA airport. After three days of denial and under mounting international pressure, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) finally admitted that the Boeing 737-800 was brought down by its missiles, but the true circumstances of the downing has not since been revealed. This heinous operation claimed the lives of all 176 innocent passengers and crew of the flight.”
This song is dedicated to the victims of this tragedy and their families and loved ones.
lyrics
V1
Remember the day was dawning
This love that needed to be
No more hiding in the shadows
In a land not for you and me
We planned it out you made the flight
You should have arrived by the end of the night
Then we heard the news, ps752
I wished with my heart that it wasn’t true
Chorus
If I knew this was the last time
That I would hear your voice
I would tell you I love you
Not once but twice
I would make you laugh
Like you never had a choice
I would make sure you knew
You’re my version of two
And I would hold you
For the rest of my life
V2
The world around us was falling
So we built ourselves up and fled
To escape your corruption
Just to have it follow us again
Years gone by and no justice in sight
We fight together keep your memories alive
For the lives you took, for all 176
We will not forget and we will not forgive
Chorus
If I knew this was the last time
That I would hear your voice
I would tell you I love you
Not once but twice
I would make you laugh
Like you never had a choice
I would make sure you knew
If I knew this was the last time
That I would hear your voice
I would tell you I love you
Not once but twice
I would make you laugh
Like you never had a choice
I would make sure you knew
You’re my version of two
And I would hold you
For the rest of my life
V3
I remember the day was dawning
This love still lives within me
To know what we could have been
In a land meant for you and me
